My client is a highly successful, large regional firm of accountants based in the Plymouth area who are seeking an ambitious and driven Accounts Senior to come and join their friendly team.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients (corporates, sole traders, partnerships)
Review and preparation of tax returns and VAT returns during busy periods
Provide accurate and timely advice to clients on financial matters as and when needed
Preparation of management accounts and budgeting
Liaising with HMRC and handling compliance matters
Contributing to client meetings and offering strategic advice
Skills and Experience:
AAT/ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2/3 years of experience in practice
Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT, and tax compliance
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
