Job title: Payroll Team Leader 
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: North Bristol

 

This role can offer you

Here are a few examples of what your daily tasks would include:

  • Responsibility for processing all payrolls from start to finish 
  • Responsibility for submitting RTI submissions to HMRC 
  • Authorise & submit BACS payments for Salaries/Wages/HMRC Payments 
  • Ensure manual and computerised records are accurately maintained in line with industry standard and legislative requirements 

Sound interesting? These are the required skills for the role:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in payroll 
  • Statutory, CIS, & BIK Knowledge  
  • Up to date knowledge of PAYE legislation 
  • Great administration, planning, organisation, and time management skills 
  • Good computer skills and O365 experience

Experience in the following is not essential but will help you in the role:

  • Professional payroll qualification is preferred but not essential 

Location: You would be required at the office in North Bristol and the candidate needs to be within a commutable distance.

Are you looking to further your payroll career? 

 

My client is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their positive and expanding team. 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Submitting pension contributions
  • RTI Submissions to HMRC
  • Admin duties including maintaining client data and other ad hoc duties
  • Dealing with all levels of client queries using verbal or written communication
  • To always deliver excellent customer service to our clients
  • Assisting the Management team when required
  • Maintain & update statutory payment spreadsheets
  • Liaise with HMRC and other 3rd party organisations when the need arises
  • Any other ad hoc duties the Payroll Manager and Senior Management feels appropriate

 

Skills and Behaviours:


Essential:

 

  • Experience working in a payroll environment
  • Good computer skills, including the ability to operate excel spreadsheets and word documents at a proficient level
  • Good administration, planning, organising and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • High level of customer service orientation and ability to deal with people at all levels
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • A dedicated team player who can also perform tasks independently
  • Up to date knowledge of PAYE legislation

Here are a few examples of what your daily tasks would include:
  • Manage the helpdesk ticket flow and prioritise them based on the current business requirements.
