Job Title: Payroll Manager

Salary: £30,000 to 35,000 per annum

My client is a well-recognised and growing accountancy practice across the West Midlands who offer a fantastic working environment as well as supporting you with your progression and development. They are looking for an experienced and confident Payroll Manager to join the team,  taking control of a portfolio of clients whilst managing and supporting the wider payroll team.

 

This job will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients.
  • Dealing with HMRC queries
  • Preparation and administration of weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Administration of PAYE, National Insurance deductions based on individual personal allowances.
  • Mandatory deductions and other statutory payments e.g. student loans, court orders etc. 
  • Preparation of monthly reports/analysis for Directors.
  • Be responsible for running P45 and P60 certificates when required and filing information online  to HMRC.
  • Supporting the wider payroll team with any queries.

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 4 years payroll experience within a practice environment
  • Software knowledge Sage, Pay Circle or similar software’s.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

My client is a rapidly growing accountancy firm based in North Bristol who are seeking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join their established and friendly payroll team.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for administering end-to-end payroll services. This will also include the submission of clients’ returns under the Construction Industry Scheme.
 
Alongside the payroll service, you will be responsible for providing auto enrolment service for clients to ensure they are compliant with their duties. This will include making assessments, providing notices, liaising with pension providers and registering with The Pension Regulator.
