    Key Responsibilities:

    • Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, providing comprehensive tax planning and advisory services.

    • Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of personal tax returns, including those of individuals, families, and trusts.

    • Advising clients on a range of tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and international tax issues.

    Role Overview

    As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, supporting accurate and timely payroll processing by calculating wages, managing attendance records, and maintaining detailed payroll information.  

     

    Responsibilities

    • Overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and benefits administration, such as insurance and healthcare plans.

    • Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and analysis.

    • Processing new hires, terminations, promotions and other employee status changes in the payroll system, to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.   

    • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting, calculating and inputting payroll data for all employees.

    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable UK laws, regulations and company policies while processing payroll.

    • Monitor and resolve any payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly and accurately.

     

    About You

    • 3+ years of experience in payroll management or a similar accounting role.

    • Proficiency with payroll processing software and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes

    • Excellent understanding of financial principles and the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records.

    • Good organisational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

    Trainee Accountant

    Role: Trainee Accountant

    Overview:
    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of an established regional accountancy practice who due to expansion, are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their friendly and successful team.

    You will join one of two teams which has a broad client base, both of which have a focus on owner-managed businesses. As a result of this focus, the vast majority of your time will be spent assisting these clients with their various compliance tasks such as VAT returns, accounts, tax returns, etc.

    Main responsibilities:
    • Preparation of unincorporated & company accounts
    • Prepare analysis of accounts
    • Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
    • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
    • Draw up financial reports
    • Assist with year-end closings
    • Prepare tax computations and returns
    • Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
    • Review and process expense reports.

    Candidates will need to:
    • Demonstrate a strong academic history by having at least 100 UCAS points at A-Level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject matter i.e. economics / maths / business studies etc
    • Be numerate and have good communication skills
    • Be self-motivated

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    Joining a busy and successful team as an Accounts Senior / Junior Client Manager you will take on responsibility for the delivery and management of wide-ranging services to a mixed client base of OMBs, SMEs and corporate clients, along with some smaller clients.

    There is opportunity to mould this to a good degree around the motivations and preferences of the right candidate, focused entirely working on clients under the audit threshold in turnover, with clients into the millions overseeing the delivery of accounts, corporation tax and other wider ranging services.

    Whilst you will have a hands-on role, there will be scope to progress into a managerial level capacity, developing client relationships with involvement in wider planning and advisory project work, working alongside partners on delivery. You will also look to mentor and assist in the development of junior staff, reviewing work and acting as a key support taking a lead in the development and progression of the team.     AAT / ACA / ACCA part or fully qualified with 2 years or more experience in practice.
