Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

How we're aiming to improve!

Here at QD, we’re extremely lucky to be based in one of the top cities for sustainability.

In 2015, Bristol became the UK’s first ever European Green Capital. With the development of the City Leap Programme, Bristol Council are aiming for the city to be carbon neutral by 2030, having already cut emissions by 71% since 2005.

Companies In and Around Bristol

Many companies in and around Bristol have also joined this movement in order to make their businesses environmentally sustainable and move towards being carbon neutral.

Companies such as Carbon Gold and Enviral, based in Bristol, are leading the market across the city in becoming sustainability focused. There is a strong need for companies to take ownership of their own emissions and become the front of the driving forces for climate action. Many companies now include a corporate responsibility and sustainability policy within their plans which include reducing waste, using recyclable and ethical materials and looking at how to reduce emissions through all aspects of their businesses.

What are QD doing to help?

Here at QD we’re aiming to be one of the market leaders as a small business, paving the way forward to be carbon neutral and sustainably friendly.

One of the three pillars for our company is Sustainability and this is something we all are really passionate about. Our aim is to continue to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. When we need to travel we use electric pool cars, but video conference where possible; we recycle everything and grow our own herbs for our smoothies. We’re trying to cut any emissions that are produced from daily activities.

The plan is to develop our own fully sustainable office with full fruit and vegetable patches and the ability to produce our own energy. With onsite facilities, rather than needing to travel, a living roof and strong insulation to keep any heating needed to a minimum, as well as powewalls to optimise energy management across the office and electric pool cars. Something definitely worth staying tuned for!

Please get in touch if you’d like a successful but also sustainable recruitment partner.

We invite you to give us ideas on how we can move forward with making our business more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
