Insolvency Administrator

Role: Insolvency Administrator
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a large regional accountancy practice in the Southwest who are looking for an Insolvency Administrator to join their Bristol office.

The successful candidate will be working with a dynamic team that supports a range of clients, including companies looking to restructure or dissolve, creditors requiring debt recovery support and individuals facing insolvency.


This is a fantastic opportunity to truly develop your career in the Business Recovery sector, with the potential to progress and undertake professional qualifications - fully supported both from a time and cost perspective.

Main Duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide accounting and other support in the Business Recovery and Insolvency department.
  • Work on both solvent and insolvent company liquidations and other types of insolvency advice and appointments.
  • Provide bookkeeping services, including the recording of income and expenditure, matching transactions to bank statements, summarising expenditure types.
  • Deliver reports and returns, including recording information for VAT and business tax returns and assistance with the preparation of annual reports to shareholders and creditors.
  • Undertake cashiering, case administration and liaison with stakeholders in person, email and phone.

Experience and Qualifications required:
  • AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified.
  • CPI qualified or an interest in completing this qualification.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic and rewarding working environment.
  • Ability to focus on delivering the best possible levels of client service

Accounts Department Manager

Role: Accounts Department Manager (Hybrid/Remote Working)
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000

Overview:
Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a large regional accountancy practice based in Exeter who are looking for an Accounts Department Manager.

The successful candidate will be joining the internal accounts team. Reporting directly to the Finance Partner, you will play a prominent and significant role in the internal finances of the Firm and leadership of the internal accounts team.

This is a hybrid (almost fully remote) role as although the internal finance function is based in the firms Exeter office, the majority of the work can be done remotely with most of the existing team operating in this way.

Main Duties and responsibilities:
  • Leadership & management of internal accounts team
  • To take the lead on the production of monthly management accounts with accompanying commentary
  • Completion of monthly payroll and associated entities, including submissions to HMRC, would be desirable
  • Associated cash-flow reporting and forecasting
  • Provide assistance with the production of the annual statutory financial statements for the firm and associated entities including tax returns to HMRC
  • Provide assistance with the quarterly VAT returns for the firm and associated entities
  • Provision of key financial intelligence to assist in ongoing projects, financial analysis and budget/target reporting
  • Provide assistance and support for recurring annual subscriptions, on-going financial reviews and annual budgets
  • Identify areas for aiding the improvement of financial performance of the business including specific divisions of the business

Experience and Qualifications required:
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or QBE
  • Experience of leading, coaching and supervising staff
  • Good level of knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards
  • Able to develop and operate complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and be competent in Microsoft Office (predominately Word, Outlook and Teams)
  • Working knowledge of Sage Accounts software would be an advantage
  • Resilient, able to multi-task and work independently
  • Adaptable, organised and conscientious
