Overview: Quinton Davies is working on behalf of an established regional practice firm based in Berkshire who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their successful team.
Reporting directly to the Directors, you’ll be responsible for dealing with Statutory/Management Accounting and other related matters. This role also includes advising clients on business and taxation matters and generally looking for opportunities to add value and assist in their development.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
Preparation of Taxation Computations based on accounts prepared
Preparation of accurate Management Accounts on a timely basis
Dealing with UK VAT returns and advising clients in connection with VAT matters
Knowledge of Payroll and payroll preparation
Preparation of Revenue and Cash Flow Forecasts
Good communicator, both oral and written
Ability to discuss technical matters competently with Clients
Ability to manage own time and work within budgets
Experience and Qualifications required:
University degree at 2.1 level or above
ACA or ACCA part qualified
Strong Technical Bias
Knowledge of Iris, Xero and Sage accounting packages and Microsoft Excel and Word
Worked in an Accountancy practice for at least 4 years
