Role: Business Services Manager Salary: c.£40,000 Location: Newport
Overview: Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established large regional practice firm based in Newport who are looking for a Business Services Manager.
Main Duties:
Managing a portfolio of clients (numbers depending on experience)
Review of c80 Limited Company Financial Statements per year
Preparing management accounts for clients
Maintaining and developing technical ability by attending webinars, keeping abreast of technical
developments (the Audit and Compliance Partner will take ultimate responsibility and is the go-to person for technical queries)
Oversee work-planning of portfolio
Provide timely and constructive feedback on jobs performed
Suggesting and agreeing fees with clients
Be approachable to members of the team
Maintain objectivity, professionalism and independence in client relationship
Discuss difficult/contentious matters with clients (but always with Partner back up and support) support less experienced members of the team as required
Ability to be well organised, in own work and with the workflow of the portfolio
Participate, as a minimum, in internally held Business Development events
Experience / Qualifications Required:
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with minimum of 2 years PQE
At least 5 years’ experience in practice
Accountancy package such as IRIS, SAPA, Sage Line 50
Communication, i.e. speaking to clients and colleagues
Enthusiasm coupled with drive and determination
Ability to perform well working in a team environment
Ability to perform well as an individual
Competent in setting own deadlines and meeting organisation deadlines
