    Finance Systems and Data Analyst

    Quinton Davies are proud to partner with Wishford Education to recruit a talented Finance Systems and Data Analyst for this rapidly growing group of independent schools, nurseries, and day care providers.

    If you have a Finance background or are in a Finance role currently and have a huge passion for Systems and Data this role could be for you.  

    This is a key role where you’ll play a pivotal part in enhancing Finance Systems and Data across the group. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll provide critical support investigating the current state of systems and data, seeking full utilisation of current landscape before investigating enhancements across the board. 

     

    Your Key Responsibilities: 

    • Improve usage and efficiency of processes and systems

    • Present meaningful finance and operational data to the business

    • Identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies

    • Lead on system selection and implementation

    • Embed a culture of continuous improvement 

       

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Accountancy background, studies towards or qualified in a suitable qualification for example, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CGMA, AAT

    • Demonstrable passion for Data and Systems

    • Strong Excel skills and experience working with finance systems.

    • Excellent time management and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.

    Accounts Senior Manager

    Role: Accounts Senior Manager
    Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
    Location: Bath

    Overview:
    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a regional practice firm based in central Bath who are looking for an Accounts Senior Manager to join their well-established team.

    The ideal candidate will currently be working as a Senior Accountant / Portfolio Manager at a small / medium sized practice. You will be looking for a client-facing role working with an exciting client base and great opportunities for progression.

    Joining as an Accounts Senior Manager, you’ll be shadowing the Partners and getting exposure to senior stakeholders and their businesses from the off. This will hugely help when the time comes to transition into a partner at the firm which is a genuine possibility for those wishing to progress in that way.

    Joining as a Senior Manager you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
    • Acting as the first point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients
    • Preparing / reviewing statutory accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
    • Assisting clients with cash flow and budgeting
    • Completing / reviewing VAT Returns
    • Preparing Tax Returns
    • Assisting clients with day-to-day queries
    • Ad hoc project work
    • Supervising junior members of the accounts team and delegating work

    Experience / Qualifications Required:
    • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
    • At least 5 years’ experience in practice
    • Accountancy packages such as Xero, Quickbooks, IRIS, SAPA and Sage Line 50

    Bookkeeper

    Role: Bookkeeper
    Salary: £25-30,000
    Location: Bath

    Overview:
    Quinton Davies is working on behalf of a well-established independent practice firm based just outside Bath who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper.

    As the successful candidate you will enjoy variety in your work, as every day will be different. Above all, the firm genuinely care about their staff and are very dedicated to supporting everyone to continually improve and help drive the business forward.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Bookkeeping for a range of clients primarily using Quickbooks but with some work on other well-known accounting systems such as Xero & SAGE.
    • Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT returns and CIS returns.
    • Preparing management accounts to draft stage for review by a Client Manager.
    • Liaising with clients and managing relationships.

    Experience / Qualifications Required:
    • QBE or AAT qualified (or equivalent)
    • Have worked in a similar position previously with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
    • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
    • Always ensure you maintain an excellent level of attention to detail.
    • Have a can-do attitude with a continuous drive for improvement.
